2024-25 budget information

The City School District of ʿ Board of Education has unanimously approved a $326.2 million budget proposal for the 2024-25 school year. The proposal includes no tax-levy increase for the second year in a row and the fourth time in the last nine years. It would support all current programs and staffing, and includes new investments in staffing and supports for students.

The budget vote and Board of Education election will be held Tuesday, May 21, with a new early voting option available for all voters this year.

Voters also will be asked to consider three additional school-related propositions, none of which would have any additional tax impact.

If you would like to schedule a budget presentation for your organization, please contact the Communications Department at (518) 475-6065.

Community Budget Committee

The Community Budget Committee participates in the district’s budget-development process with a goal of providing input to the Board of Education on community priorities and areas residents would like to see resources directed for the upcoming school year.

The process allows committee members to work alongside district employees to develop an understanding of district revenue sources, mandated programs and services, and resource allocation in support of the district’s vision, mission and goals.
